Description
When: Tuesdays at 6:00AM
Location: Student Building Garage
As men, God calls us to lead. How can you become a better leader? Sometimes the best way to learn is to return to the fundamentals. On Tuesday mornings at 6:00 a.m. in the Student Building, we'll engage in 4 to 6-week studies of topics where we're specifically called to lead. This group is ongoing, so feel free to join any time. Find our upcoming topics below.
The Pursuit of Excellence…Dr. George Sweeting
January 6 – March 3
Half-hearted Christianity is common because it’s easy. But you and I were designed to press forward, reach
out and climb higher. Join us for this nine-week study as Dr. Sweeting’s The Pursuit of Excellence shows us
how to pursue nine marks of Christian excellence derived from scripture: Faith, Character, Action, Single-
Mindedness, Love, etc.
Living Life Backward: Live in Light of the End…David Gibson
March 10 – May 5
What if it is death that teaches us how to truly live? Living life backward means taking the one thing in our
future that is certain―death―and letting that inform our journey before we get there. Looking to Ecclesiastes
for wisdom, Living Life Backward was written to shake up our expectations and priorities for what it means to
live “the good life.” Considering the reality of death ―frees us to live wisely, generously, and faithfully for God’s
glory.
Living Forward: Stop Drifting and Get the Life You Want…Hyatt & Harkavy
May 12 – June 30
Each of us has but one life to live on this earth. What we do with it is our choice. Are we drifting through it as
spectators, reacting to our circumstances and wondering how we got to this point? Or are we directing it,
maximizing the joy and potential of every day, living with a purpose or mission in mind? Too many of us are
doing the former–and our lives are slipping away one day at a time. What if we lived each day as though it
were part of a bigger picture, a plan? That's what Michael Hyatt and Daniel Harkavy show us how to do: to
design a life with the end in mind, determining in advance the outcomes we desire and path to get there.
The Way of the Warrior: A Path to Inner Peace…Erwin McManus
July 7 – August 25
In The Way of the Warrior, Erwin McManus argues that to experience and establish inner peace, we must first
confront the battles that rage within. Our longing for deep purpose is attainable, but it won't come easy. It
requires a warrior's mentality. Fighting requires passion, perseverance, and precision. This is an invitation to
take a honest look at your life guided by principles revealed in Scripture. The world is at war because our souls
are at war. The path to peace begins with us overcoming our most frequent and fierce enemy: ourselves.
1 & 2 Peter: Courage in Times of Trouble…John MacArthur
September 1 – December 16
Believers in the early church were facing the threat of increased persecution. Peter, the most outspoken of the
disciples and leader among the apostles, wrote two practical and encouraging letters to strengthen the hearts
of these followers of Christ. Pastor John MacArthur will lead us through these two letters, to better understand
Peter's words of hope and wisdom and how to live victoriously in the midst of life-threatening trials.
Flawed But Fighting: Faith-Fueled Reflections for Life…GM Jarenson
November 24 – December 15
Designed to strengthen your faith, sharpen your discipline, and call you to live with courage and purpose,
Flawed but Fighting is not about perfection—it’s about persistence. Over 4-weeks, we’ll review four powerful
themes: Identity & Calling – Stand firm in who God says you are before stepping into what you’re meant to do.
Courage Under Fire – Discover how trials reveal the strength of your faith, not the weakness of it. Purpose in Pain – See how God can use even your wounds to shape your future. Legacy & Leadership – Build a faith that outlives you and impacts generations.
